We made it!

Well we are in the new house.  Everything went well and nothing was broken.  Daniel dropped my bed in the dirty water in the drive way but other than that everything went well.  The new house is HUGE! The boys have their own rooms which is the best part and they go to bed without fighting. YAHOO!!! Their are a few problems with the new place and we are sorting them with the owner this week, leaking taps, broken shower head etc. We were without the phone for the whole weekend but we did have internet which was just as well…..ROFL! The phone is all fixed now and spend yesterday on it.. The boys walked to school and home again which is great and they love it to.  What a huge saving on petrol.  Gotta be good!

I haven’t got around to unpacking my scrappy stuff yet but that is todays job, NEED TO SCRAP, NEED TO SCRAP!!! Haven’t done any for 5 days….LOL! My 2 new rooms is awesome and can’t wait to get in there to do something, will take a photo and post it here once it’s all sorted. 

We are getting some students which arrive next week, one who will be with us till the end of the year and then next Thursday we get 2 girls just for 10 days.  They come to NZ and spend 10 looking around (site seeing) and checking out the school to see if they want to come to NZ to study.  2 girls in the house will be so different and weird as all I have known is boys.  The students rooms are all set up and ready for them, just need a few other things for them which I am doing today.  The boys are looking forward to it and so are Neil and I.  Will be something different for us. 

 

Anyway, just wanted to let you know I am still around and back blogging, better go and find my way around this house….LOL!!! Till tomorrow at Whoo Hoot Wednesday….

Whoo Hoot Thursday!

Whoo Hoot

Whoo Hoot Wednesday is Whoo Hoot Thursday for me….

I ran out of time yesterday to do this and have a spare few mins to do it now.

 

So my Whoo Hoots this week are…

1.  We are pretty much packed and ready to go tomorrow. Garage is another story, but that’s Neils job..LOL!

2. The kids classes were a huge hit again. Everyone was happy with what they did.

3. My little man had his hair cut today and looks cute. The whole time Noah sat in the chair he had his hands over his face. Didn’t want my hair dresser looking at him…LOL!!!

4. I found that Becky Fleck has a blog but you probably already know by now.

5. I got lots of happy mail from different people this week, thanks!

 

Well that’s it from me for a few days I would say. Early start tomorrow for us all. Dropping Noah at a friends place first thing in the morning and she will have him for the day.  One car is already packed and using my friends car also and Vicki is coming to help us to tomorrow and then Andrew and Vicki are coming back Saturday to help also.  Thanks heaps guys, it means alot for the help.

We are picking up a huge trailer on Saturday morning to do all the big stuff, beds, tables, washing machine and I would say it’s a trailer load on it’s own for all my scrappy stuff…..ROFLMAO!!!!!

Holidays, packing and moving!

Well we are now into the second week of the holidays and our house is looking like a bomb has gone off in it… The kids haven’t been doing much due to us packing, cleaning and the ‘Kids Make Stuff’ holiday programme. But they have been to friends places and Leigh has his mate here today for the night and also tomorrow for the day. He had one of his other mates over last week for dinner, movie and sleep over. They went to their Dads in the weekend and they went to QEII and watched Wellington Phoenix VS Mainland Premier. Jarrod is a huge soccer fan and loved it and can’t stop talking about it. 

While the boys were away for the weekend Neil and I got heaps done. We had a garage sale on Saturday and got rid of STUFF. LOL!!! Was great to clear out the garage and now we don’t have to take it with us.  Made some cash to, which is even better.  Here is a picture of one of the bedrooms packed….

 

The rest of the house is the same, makes you think if you can live without all this for a couple of weeks do I really need it…… YES!  The bed in the photo is Noah’s bed but he is bunking in with the boys for a week and they all love it so much they want to bunk in together in the new house….I don’t think so with 7 bedrooms to pick from…

We won’t need bunks in the new house which will be great.  They are a pain to make. It’s like camping, they even rotate beds with each other. 

My scrappy stuff it sort of packed. Can’t pack it all away due the the kids classes and I am getting some sketches done to.  Just trying to get everything sorted now being the last week and all. Carpet cleaners, changing phone, power, rubbish bin, insurance etc.

This isn’t even half of it….LOL!!! 

 

Not long to go and it will be all over.  I have my friend looking after Noah on Friday for me and I am having her car to move some stuff. My car doesn’t even fit my scrappy trolley in the boot..LOL!!! So between the boys and me we will be doing the moving on Friday on our own.  Neil can’t get Friday off work.  Saturday we have Vicki, Andrew and Tracy to give us a hand so we should be right.  Just have lots of kids to sort to. 

 

Right, better go and get sorted for the kids class this afternoon.

Whoo Hoot Wednesday!

Here we are again at another Wednesday. WOW! the weeks are rolling by. We aren’t doing alot over the holidays due to packing etc.  The boys are a little bored with not alot to do but Leigh has a friend coming to stay from Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon.  So that will keep them busy for a couple of days.   

Anyway here are my Whoo Hoots for this week….

 

1. I brought another charm for my Pandora bracelet. A pink butterfly!

2. Have got some real bargins on beds etc lately for the new house.

3. Have packed up half of the house, which I am happy about.  Only half to go…LOL!!!

4. Had morning tea with a old work mate and friend last Thursday. Was nice to catch up with her as don’t do it offen enough.

5. Am looking forward to this Friday as Kelly, Tracy, Vicki and I are getting together for a coffee/crop. Kelly is in Christchurch and she is coming around here.  Will be nice to meet another online scrapping buddy.

Brrrrrr……..Freezing!

This weeks dare on Daring Cardmakers was a winter card, ie use images, colour, use embellishments that make you feel cold and remind you of winter.  Everyone has done a great job. Beverley is the July guest designer so welcome Beverley. Here is my card for  this weeks dare…..

Snow!

Just thought I would share some photos of today.  It’s been very cold all day but this morning we all got outside to do the gardens ready for our move in a couple of weeks.  Then about lunch time it started snowing.  And it snowed and snowed and snowed.  And this is what our street looked like during it…

 

I know it’s not as bad as some parts of the country but it was so cold while we were outside I couldn’t feel my hands.  Neil was a big kid and wrote ITS COLD on the road…ROFLMAO!!!

It’s raining and so cold and windy now. 

 

 

Our new home!

Just thought I would share with you all our new home. We start moving in on the 18th July.  It’s a 2 min walk to the boys school.  We are so looking forward to this.

Whoo Hoot Wednesday!

WOW! I so can’t believe how fast each week rolls round.  Here we are at another Wednesday.  I have a headache from hell and haven’t been feeling the best over the last few days but life goes on.  So here are my Whoo Hoots for this Wednesday….

 

 

1. We got the HUGE house with 7 bedrooms and move on the weekend of 18, 19 and 20th July. Just before school returns.

2. My first online class for Stampin’ Scrap is set for August.  Jo Burney is the designer so be sure to check back soon for the info.  Thanks Jo!

3. It’s Neils birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEIL!  He is 36 today.  SHHHHH I didn’t tell you that….LOL!!

4. Have had alot of people interested in being a designer for Little Shop of Sketches….

I had a phone call from the boys school today to tell me Leigh tripped over and hit his head on a rock.  There was blood but a very small hole.  It looks like a black eye in the making so will see how he looks tomorrow but he is fine. 

Well that’s me for another Wednesday and now I am off to bed to get rid of this headache.

Christmas in June!

Ok, this weeks dare over at Daring Cardmakers was Christmas in June. We had to make a Christmas card.  I thought WOW!! do we have to think about Christmas now.  But it was good, it got me thinking about my normal standard christmas card order I do every year and it’s this time I need to start.  SO all and all it was good.  So here is my card….

We are looking for 2 designers to join in on the weekly sketches done over at Little Shop of Sketches. As you all know I do a sketch and layouts from myself, Vicki and someone else goes up each Wednesday. We are looking for 2 other designers to join in with us to do these weekly sketches.

Challenges

Ok, We have been having a wee think on the challenges that we do on the forum and as there are so many challenges out there and not enough hours in the day we are changing the way we do ours.

We will still put up on a Friday the Girls night in challenges and any others that we might do but the way it will work from now on is this….you can then pick which ones you wish to do.

Every month any work that goes into the gallery will be in the draw to win a RAK. Any work that is uploaded for challenges, personal albums, Little shop of sketches (NZ only) etc will be in the draw. So rock on over to the gallery and set up a personal album and get uploading. It’s not offen you might win a RAK for uploading your personal layouts. This will start on the 1st July through to 31st July and every month after.

We look forward to seeing what you guys have been up to in the coming months.
